St. Louis Housing Market is HOT!
Great news for St. Louis home sellers…houses are on the market just a couple of days
with multiple offers above the listing price.
Why? There has been a pent up demand for quite a while in the region. Buyers are now ready
to venture out and make a purchase. Sellers have noticed and are keenly aware that this is a Sellers market.
One factor driving the market is that new home construction slacked off about a decade ago.
There are developments popping up, however, they are out in St. Charles County. For those buyers wanting to enjoy all the amenities that the St. Louis region has to offer…new homes just aren’t a viable option.
Another factor….afforability. The St. Louis region continues to be in the top 5 areas of growth for 2016 (Dec. realtor.com report).
This, coupled with a world class Zoo (parking costs, admission is FREE), Forest Park, recently voted best city park in the country (USA Today, 2016) and great family friendly neighborhoods are all contributors to this Hot Market.
